Window Seat

Moral cowardice that keeps us from speaking our minds is as dangerous to this country as irresponsible talk. The right way is not always the popular and easy way. Standing for right when it is unpopular is a true test of moral character ~ Margaret Chase Smith

Erykah Badu "Window Seat" video is causing quite a stir ~ The unedited version of the Window Seat video went viral as soon as it was released ~ Most copies of the video have now been pulled from YouTube and other online sites due to copyright infringement and nudity.

The video shows Badu walking in front of the Texas School Book Depository where President John F. Kennedy was shot ~ As Badu walks, she strips nude and appears to be shot in the same place JFK was fatally shot in 1963.

The city of Dallas seems upset that Badu filmed her video "guerrilla" style and never applied for the required permits.

Badu admitted to filming her Window Seat video guerrilla style on Twitter ~ She tweeted the video, "was shot guerrilla style, no crew, 1 take, no closed set, no warning, 2 min., downtown dallas, then ran like hell."

Badu explained on Twitter what the video was about ~ In a series of tweets, she said, "character assassination due to mob mentality/groupthink is the theme of the window seat video ~ The message is encoded ~ At the point one reaches an individual idea and sheds him / herself of learned behavior , or evolves to a way of thinking that the group, misunderstands, refuses to understand or is threatened by as a whole, the single minded individual is in danger ~  Fear arises & even if the point made by the individual is as simple as can be, even spelled out or stated intelligently 2 or 3 things can/will happen ~ Quite interesting. Let's see what happens next"

You can watch the Erykah Badu Window Seat video, here, on Badu's website.

I also ran across below video of Ms. Badu on Chelsea Lately!  It's pretty funny!  A must see!
