Creamy Artichoke and Spinach Dip

I'm really not that big on spinach, but a couple of months ago my aunt made this dip and seriously...I couldn't stop eating it ~ I even took a big helping home and ate it for 2 days straight ~ Creamy Artichoke and Spinach Dip is a rich, delicious, inexpensive (All the ingredients were around $13) dish that can be served with tortilla chips or Pita Chips/Bread  ~  This dip was an absolute hit at the party, so I decided to make some and take to work ~ My co-workers seemed to really enjoy it! ~ I actually received RAVE REVIEWS (lol)  ~ If your looking for a quick, tasty appetizer....try this recipe out..I'm sure you and your friends will love it!

    LOVE made easy

Ok...I found this insanely cute LOVE necklace on hisherschicago blogspot worn by DJ Rashida pictured below ~ The blogger re-created DJ Rashida's necklace by using cooper wire and a few other accessories (she did a FAB job) ~ Once I saw the outcome of the bloggers necklace I immediately knew this was a project I would enjoy sinking my teeth into ~ It was cute, unique and i could see myself rockin it (lol) ~ I was definitely up for the task at hand!

All you need to make the LOVE necklace are copper wire (I purchased 8 yards for $2.99), jump rings (a pack of 85 for $2.99) necklace clasps (also $2.99, and I purchased a chain for $4.99) ~ Since I didn't have any tools at all, I decided to purchase a mini-starter tool kit for $9.99 which included wire cutters, round nose pliers, flat nose pliers and tweezers all of which I picked up at Michael's.

To start you write the word LOVE on a sheet of paper.

You then use the copper wire to trace the word LOVE and tape it to the paper to keep it secure ~ I didn't cut it from the strand to make sure I had more than enough wire to work with.

Once you finish tracing, you clasp an end of the copper wire to the jump ring and use the wire cutter to secure the clasp.

You then use small pieces of the copper wire to keep the letters secure using the wire cutters.

I then cut a piece of chain (you can make the necklace as long or as short as you like) and used a jump ring to secure the necklace clasp.

    TAAAA-DAAAA!

I was pleasantly pleased with the outcome of my 1st DIY project and amazed that it only took around 30 minutes to make ~ I'm definately gonna rock my necklace and I'll rock it with lots and lots of LOVE!

    The Sweet Gift.....

    The Sweet Gift of Conversation
Poem written by: Tyrone W. (inspired by lil ol ME)

It was a dismal and rain soaked day, here on the East Coast
And I had a sweet surprise, one that I so proudly want to Boast
The clouds seemed to roll away, as I sit in awe at my Desk
My Eve sent me sunshine, so far away from the West.

My Eve, My Eve, took the time out to say Hi
My mouth was speechless; my eyes wanted to Cry
It still mystifies me, that someone so pleasant, is not another's Wife
As I think about male/female relationships, and the true meaning of Life

She is born in August, and that month means magnificent and Grand
And she dates and has friends, but has yet to find that wholesome Man
She is age 36 and soon to be 37, and brazened with a Californian Tan
She causes the waves to rush onto the shore, and become one with the grains of Sand

Awaits her that special guy, that would protect her from the evils of this World
And make her the center of his universe, just like an oyster does a Pearl
One that would take a bullet in his heart, if it met the sparing of her Life
Or gladly give up both kidneys, if it met her life continued on void of Strife

Pleasant and womanly and one to be stern, if you rub her the wrong Way
And delicate as daffodils in full bloom, during the rainy month of May
She offered me a gift, but I was content with the sweet gift of conversation, Today
Sometimes I wish like Adam's Myeshia, she was fashioned out of East Coast Clay

Her Grandma saw things in her, which others might not See
How much joy she would give to another, in Holy Matrimony
It's a lifetime commitment, as two imperfections become One
And that's my wish to for her, as I close with the setting of the West Coast Sun

So another day has come, and like a vapor, it so quickly is Gone
I leave you with these words of comfort; I hope I have penned no Wrong
May these words dwell within your heart, and eradicate all of your Fears
As we get to know one another, as days turn into months, and months into years.
